Timeline Split?

My recent book, EARTH GAME The Next Level, addressed “Split-Offs”, being the somewhat popular notion that some of the players in what I call “Earth Game” may soon ascend to a relatively brighter reality while the rest would descend to a more dismal reality. That is, the game would split off between two parallel realities. Some refer to that as a “Timeline Split”.

My difficulty with that notion is that the applicable portion of the people in each world would need to die en masse, or alternatively, be replaced by Non-Player Characters. So, I hold some skepticism about the notion, whether labelled as a “Timeline Split” or a “Split-Off”.

One might see a Timeline Split as somehow following from “Multiverse” thinking, i.e., the notion (rooted in the “Many-Worlds Interpretation” of quantum physics) that everything that can happen does happen in some parallel reality. In EARTH GAME: The Next Level, I pointed out the illogic, from the perspective of Source/God, of designing our reality in that way. I won’t reiterate that reasoning here, but I will point out that, if one were to come at it from a Multiverse approach, any notion of a “Timeline Split” would be senseless. Logically speaking, you can’t have it both ways. If “Multiverse” thinking were correct, there would be no coherent timeline at all. Just an infinity of parallel realities playing out in infinite meaninglessness. There would be no “timeline” to split. You cannot find a fork in the road within a jumble of unstructured chaos. No road means no fork.

There is a “road” here in “Earth Game”. That is, there is an unfolding story, a narrative. With some of it pre-written. And some of it to be collectively written by us, the Player Characters experiencing this fantastic multi-player game of divine creation.

To picture how it all might fit together, think of a jigsaw puzzle of perhaps 1,000 pieces. (More like eight billion pieces, but it is almost impossible to picture that as a jigsaw puzzle.) Each piece fits into and is part of the whole. But not all the pieces are the same. Each is unique. Each has its own colors, patterns, interconnections. Parts of the puzzle may be bright colors with brilliant designs; other parts may be darker and more dismal. And yet, still interconnected, still just the one puzzle.

Yes, with each thought you think and each choice you make, you are changing the probabilities and perhaps even the possibilities for your personal future. But you are not doing that in isolation from the probabilities and possibilities of the collective future. We have our individual stories within Earth Game. But together we are part of one story – the story of Earth. A story which, I gather, “Source/God” holds dear. And which many worlds and realms are watching with interest.

To be sure, the “Universe” (which is my shorthand for the Source/God intelligence that runs “Earth Game”) is constantly spinning off scenarios and timelines and running them to see what would happen. But it does all that at the Quantum (i.e., Multi-Dimensional) level. What gets dropped into the world of form out of all the permutations and combinations and possibilities is made to fit together – with enough consistency to make this work as the multi-player game that it is.

There may indeed be realms where parallel timelines and forking realities are available for the exploring. But not here. Not because this is a backwoods reality where the unenlightened are sent to stumble about until they somehow redeem themselves. Rather, quite the opposite. The linearity of our restricted physical reality makes this the most challenging game around. Paradoxically, the confined world of form may be the zenith, the acme, of the explorations of Source/God. Among the many realms created by Source/God in order to explore them, this is the most daring and the most prized adventure. Because the confining linearity is integral to story. And story is why we are here – and why a great many aspects of Consciousness are, we are told, lining up to come play in this realm.

Even the reaching for Multi-Dimensionality is not so that we can escape from the physical realm. That would be simple enough to do; just die and the restrictions of linearity are gone. No, the “escape room” aspect of Earth Game is to escape from the confines of thinking of oneself as only physical. Again, not so that we can leave, but so we can more adeptly and more joyfully explore the wonders of the world of form. Think of linear sequencing along a linear timeline as being essential for creating a melody of sorts. Without that restricting linearity there would be no plotline as the story unfolds. Do not for a moment think that the point of participating in Earth Game is to somehow make your way to the nearest exit.

Despite all of the above, I can see the allure of “Split-Off” thinking. It seems so convenient, i.e., the notion that when the “Great Split” happens, the enlightened ones will take one fork in the road, and the not-so-enlightened ones will take the other. Presumably, almost everyone would assume themselves to be in the enlightened camp. Ergo, at the moment of the Great Split, all the people they consider to be unenlightened will conveniently exit into a different reality. All the people one disagrees with about just about everything, handily zapped into the lower-tier reality. The great societal divide over who is right and who is wrong would be resolved. You and all the other right-thinking people will inherit the one Earth, and all the dumb-dumbs will conveniently be relegated to the lower-grade Earth. Political and societal polarization, all solved. In a word, no. Not happening. We will not wake up tomorrow in a world that suddenly has no dictators, no war, no hate, no stupidity, and no polarization.

The above-noted problem for any “Timeline Split” remains pertinent; i.e., needing to arrange, on “Enlightened Earth”, either (i) the mass death of all the unenlightened ones, or (ii) replacement of said unenlightened ones with Non-Player Characters newly programmed to act as if they were enlightened Player Characters. Beyond that problem, there is the hubris of the notion that everyone we routinely disagree with needs to be relegated to a lower timeline.

More likely, it seems to me, is that who gets to come here to begin a new lifetime in Earth Game may be coming under increasing scrutiny. Baby souls (aka “newbs”), please select another planetary experience (or perhaps even a different version of Earth). Likewise for those for whom the dark shadows of recent past lives would likely prove incompatible with the relative lightness that Earth Game will be moving into. I picture in my mind a sign now in place for new lifetimes in Earth Game: You must be this tall to go on this ride.

In the meantime, the problem of polarization (political and otherwise) in our society is something to be wisely resolved, not swept away through the magic of a Timeline Split. As I have written before, most of that polarization is the result of an ill-considered contest between masculine energy and feminine energy. The answer to that polarization is to collectively find a way to put those two fundamental (and divine) energies together, rather than to conjure up a twisted, toxic masculine and a twisted, toxic feminine and have them battle for supremacy. As with breathing in and breathing out, we need both. (That is, we need caring and compassion for all, and we also need individual freedom and self-determination.)

And yet, we do seem to sense some pivotal moment in the offing. Like a crack in the Earth that for whatever reason we have chosen to straddle, one foot on either side. Not willing to give up the allure of metaphysics and spirituality, yet not quite willing to put all our eggs in that one basket. So, we hedge (or at least most of us do). Except that the crack has grown wider. Now starting to become a gorge, a chasm. We must each of us leap, to one side or the other. Each of us to find themselves in the one stream or the other. No, not a divide between the divine masculine and the divine feminine. But rather a choice between a rising human spirit and something that descends into the pitfalls of the world of form.

What I don’t think changes is the overall stream of reality within Earth Game. Yes, some of us (hopefully most of us) will opt into personal futures that will progressively get better and better. Whereas the rest may descend into personal futures that will be denser, darker, and more difficult. We are seeing that already, are we not? On reflection, we have been seeing that for quite some time. More people seem to be falling through the cracks. We can blame ourselves for that if we choose, but it seems to be getting harder and harder to pull the fallen back onto their feet and into the mainstream.

On the one fork in the road, live long and prosper. On the other, perhaps a shorter time here. Presumably, without the option of returning to Earth (or at least this particular “Earth”) for one’s next lifetime. Rather, incarnating the next lifetime on some different Earth, or on another planet somewhere in this or another galaxy, where the standards will not be set quite so high.

My conclusion: yes, there does seem to be a fork in the road. But it is a personal one, and for the duration of one’s present lifetime it will play out within the same overall stream of reality as others in this multi-player game experience.

In the short term, the great divide could be painful to witness. Richer may get richer, healthier may get healthier, happier may get even happier. And, the converse. Caring and compassion will remain important. But rescue attempts may have a distressingly low rate of success. The sadness of that will wane over time, as some souls cycle off and other enthusiastic souls come in to experience the upgraded “Earth Game”. Caring and compassion will need to be combined with an understanding of the need to avoid descending into energies incompatible with a path of joy and love.

Or, perhaps it will not be quite so draconian. Perhaps those who choose the mental prison of living “Inside the Jar” – i.e., as if four-dimensional Spacetime were all that exists – will mostly continue to muddle along just fine. Except that they may miss out on the opportunity to upgrade to an Earth Game that has more delights and fewer hardships. In terms of metaphor, it seems to me that perhaps the last train leaving the station has perhaps been scheduled. The opportunity to upgrade, both for the present lifetime and those that follow, may eventually come to a close.

Bottom line: board the train. But not so that you can leave others behind. Rather, because you want to be where that train is going. If you have your ticket, why hedge or hesitate? There are brighter days calling to you. Let your very being shimmer with a resounding “Yes!”. All aboard. Let’s roll.
