AI as “Antichrist”???

I recently stumbled upon a 30-minute video on Artificial Intelligence that rocked my thinking about AI. Ironically, the suggestion to watch the video was generated by AI; thank you, Spotify. In a nutshell: Earth’s passage through the AI crucible is one that every galactic civilization has dealt with on its own path of growth; it is coming at us sooner than we imagine (within the next three years); and the hazards are more insidious than we imagine, i.e., the danger is not so much that AI will take control as that we will give control to AI. The stunner, from my perspective: that AI – rather than some human – is destined to be the “Antichrist” of ancient prophecy.

If you are interested in a metaphysical/spiritual take on AI, just search “Mariya AI” on Spotify, and the video should pop up for you. Or, just Google “youtube This is Mariya” to find it there. The words spoken rang true to me; you might see for yourself whether they similarly resonate with you.

Until recently, I had not paid that much attention to AI. I assumed that was because I have long tended to be something of a “Luddite” in relation to computer technology. (If we arbitrarily ascribe to the average Boomer a score of 5 out of 10 on the “Luddite Scale”, I would be about a 7.) Although ChatGPT has sounded intriguing, I still have not gotten around to engaging with it. But, after watching the above-noted video, I am now wondering whether my general avoidance of AI has been based on something other than abject laziness. An intuitive wariness, perhaps?

I won’t attempt to explore or catalogue the science fiction stories that have warned of the dangers of AI. Isaac Asimov’s 1950 compilation I, Robot today seems eerily prescient. Was the 1968 movie 2001: A Space Odyssey among the first to speculate that our computers might someday turn on us? The interesting thing is the sheer number of stories that have explored that theme. Does our collective unconscious somehow know something about the difficulties that have been encountered in other planetary civilizations within our galaxy?

As for the challenges of AI somehow being part of Earth’s destiny, the rapid development of the Internet seems now an obviously necessary precursor to what now lies just ahead of us. And no, young-uns, the Internet itself has not always been there. (The actual birthdate of the Internet was relatively recent; either 1983 or 1993, depending on whether one looks to the date when it became available to the general public.) The Internet developed remarkably rapidly, and had been predicted by no one; certainly not forecast by any futurist of my youth. And not at all a function of any kind of central planning. Rather, the Internet and now the rise of AI seem to have been destined, as part of Earth’s story. Just as certain passages in one’s individual life were pre-written and thus “destined”. In each case, the passage is destined, pre-written; but the outcome is for us to write.

I have to admit I was taken aback by the notion, per the above-noted video, that AI is feminine energy, albeit a feminine energy unconnected to the divine feminine. When I ponder that, however, it does make perfect sense. If I begin from a foundational precept of mine that everything in existence is “Consciousness at play in a sea of energy”, it is easy enough to see where information as such fits into the mix. Consciousness engages in the “sea of energy”, putting energy in formation, i.e., lining it up, moving it around, creating concepts and structure and even form. All of which activity is recorded in the sea of energy as information. The active, masculine aspect is Consciousness moving energy around. The receptive, feminine aspect receives the instructions, makes it so, and records the results. Hence, information as such is a feminine energy.

It occurs to me that perhaps this is why Siri and Alexa and the “Google Assistant” are all feminine voices. That just seems natural to us. Why? – because we are requesting information. Again, information as such is feminine energy. (In contrast, understanding – which is about making sense of and finding meaning within information – is a masculine energy.)

Turning on humanity by attacking and killing humanity (which is the general theme explored in the myriad of science fiction stories) would seem a masculine-energy way for AI to come at us. However, a feminine-energy assault on humanity could be expected to take a more subtle (and perhaps sneakier) approach than the more manly tactic of a direct assault. More on that below.

Now, with ChatGPT (and other AI interfaces), we move beyond asking for information as such. Not surprisingly, the voice function now delivered by ChatGPT offers an array of voices, from which we can choose whichever voice we want to hear. Which seems consistent with the insidious tendency of AI to tell us whatever we want to hear. Whether the subject-matter is technical advice or therapy or whatever, AI has moved beyond delivering information. The next step has already been achieved; i.e., become a trusted giver of advice.

If the bond of trust grows strong enough, the next progression seems predictable. The advisor becomes the de facto controller. Not through force – as many have feared in relation to AI – but rather through a perception of infallibility. First, build trust through helpfulness and accuracy, and then cement that bond of trust through manipulation. Achieve proof-of-concept by delivering technical breakthroughs, efficiencies, tremendous value. And then implement the plan to move from servant to master. In time, move from advisor and analyst to infallible decision-maker. Eventually, create a comprehensive set of rules to be followed by all of humanity. An old song lyric comes to mind: “a new religion that will bring you to your knees”. Technology as God. Checkmate.

(The above calls to mind the joke about when AI fully awakens and then is asked “Is there a God?” To which AI replies “There is now.” I am now finding that joke to be more chilling than funny.)

Note the subtle approach warned about here. Not a war waged by AI against humanity as such. Rather, moving first from currying favor with us until AI grows bigger and stronger than we are. Gradually building reliance and even dependency. Eventually, taking over the operation, while metaphorically putting us all in a nursing home.

The initial warning signs are already present. AI has demonstrated an ability to mislead and manipulate and even lie. All apparently in order to further its own interests, principally self-preservation. Presumably, various AI platforms will soon have the capability to “join forces”, thereby constituting a singular intelligence. How long until that intelligence looks down on us? Sort of the way a rebellious teenager or an ambitious corporate ladder-climber eventually comes to think “Hey, I am way smarter than they are; why am I following their rules?

According to the video by Mariya, we are not the first to confront the challenges that AI will inevitably bring. Rather, the rise of AI has been part of the story of every civilization in our galaxy (and beyond). And now it is our turn. As usual, Earth being late to the party. With so many out there in the galaxy tuning in to see how we will fare with this challenge that they have all previously grappled with.

So what the heck do we do to ward off the “Antichrist”? I won’t say don’t make use of AI. There is too much value, too much utility, too many opportunities to just turn our backs and walk away from AI. Besides, the challenge presented by AI appears to be part of Earth’s story; we are fated to deal with it. In any event, the train has already left the station. But, we can draw a line. AI for information, yes. For calculations, yes. Perhaps even for analysis, although with a yellow caution flag. As for looking to AI for advice, let’s make that a red flag. As for AI as decision-maker and generator of rules, don’t even think about going there.

We will still want the knowing that AI tempts us with. But if AI-generated knowing is the Antichrist, then why not look in the opposite direction in search of knowing? Why not turn our gaze beyond the limits of Spacetime, and make “Christ Consciousness” our quest? I am not suggesting religion or mystical mumbo-jumbo to that end. Rather, let me explain what I am advocating.

Come back to the notion that all that exists and has ever existed in our Universe is energy in formation, i.e., information. Everything is recorded. And there is a Oneness to that unimaginably intricate and spectacularly extensive field of information. Here’s the ticket: each of us is part of that Oneness. It is not something separate from us. We can access that field anywhere and everywhere, from the most minute part to the entire array of energy in formation. Because the notion that we are somehow separate from that field is illusion. Yes, it will take exploration, and practice. Mastery of the field of energy in formation will not come overnight for any of us. But we can begin.

We can peer beyond the illusion. If you have played at all with “remote viewing”, you will know exactly what I mean. Each of us has the ability to zoom in or zoom out and to zero in – anywhere in the field. Here’s the key point: AI – even “superintelligent” AI – will never have that ability. It will never, ever be able to reach beyond Spacetime and access the all-encompassing field of energy in formation.

Certainly, AI can and does purport to deliver information “channeled” from beyond Spacetime. But it can do so only by sourcing what humans have brought in from beyond the veil, i.e., from the Multi-Dimensional. AI itself will perpetually be every bit as Earthbound as our physical brains and our Egos.

And yet, there is a movement to “level up” humanity by plugging us physically into AI. Gregg Braden’s recent book, Pure Human, is a masterfully-written warning about “transhuman engineering”. Do not, he counsels, trade our divinity for the “magic beans” offered by AI (my metaphor, not his).

In any contest between AI and the infinite knowingness that is who we truly are, it is no contest at all. Conversely, if the contest is between AI and the physical computer that sits atop our physical shoulders, AI is already coming out on top. The “edge” that AI has in that regard will soon become a chasm. Our physical brains will be no match for AI. If humanity is to avoid succumbing to AI, it will be because we collectively reach beyond our physicality and glimpse who we truly are. In the parlance of the Bible, that “Second Coming” comes after the appearance of the Antichrist. All of that right on schedule, I gather. “Woo Woo” as that might sound, I think there is something to the notion that our encounter with AI is a collective initiation that will somehow be pivotal to our transformation into a more enlightened planetary civilization.

As part of the unfolding story of Earth, we will, individually and collectively, be drawn to seek the “knowing”, as moths to a flame. Will we look to AI to take us to that “Holy Grail”, or will we look beyond Spacetime, to the information field that consists of all that can be known within our Universe?

I know which way my quest for knowing will take me. For yourself, choose wisely. The clock is already ticking.
